So I unfortunately was scmed by this bastard. Started from IG a while back, my dumb ass didn't realize it via IG seemed legit like a basic convo. Went over to Whatsapp and that's where shit got weird!! I will admit I was going through a hard time and my vulnerable moment blinded me, so I was the person that purchased a steam internet card thing..and yes I know I'll never see that.money again. But damn ya know. Anyway hopefully I can just share this safely w/o judgement. He told me had a six YO boy living with a nanny while he is deployed for her doesn't know how long. (??) He's from Florida. And that his wife died but didn't say how. Also when I blocked him from being able to text me, I immediately got a threatened text message from a "friend's" cell phone number pissed at me for blocking him so ultimately had to change my number I had for ten years & started fresh. Lesson learned. He went by Jason Cooper
Matched with this guy on a WooPlus which is a dating app. Goes by Edward Davis Cooper, said his wife killed herself after he dumped her because when he surprised her with a visit home during his leave (which he coordinated with his best friend) he found out the two of them were cheating. Also said parents died in a car crash. He has since deleted his profile on WooPlus. Thank goodness for this site!

I had this guy start talking to me on July 4th..on facebook messenger.he goes by the name of Justin Tabor Cooper. He claims that he is from North Carolina but is currently in Syria as a Sargent in the US ARMY. He says that he has an adopted son named Luis who is 17 and goes to a boarding school in France. His mother and father died in a car accident while going on a trip..and his brother is supposedly also in the ARMY serving in Afghanistan. lol the story gets better..he needs money to pay for his early retirement..lol because it is hell where he is now lol...Luckly I checked everything that he said and noticed things that were not legit. Like seeing pictures of him...notice..his tattoos are not always on the same arm..lol.. Also, as soon as I started talk to him, I also started getting other friend requests from other people who claim they were in the army. "Justin" told me that I needed to get off of facebook because of this...NOT basically when he couldnt get anything from me, he started being not a nice person and told me that I was being selfish for not helping him. I also found names on facebook with this same picture Justin Cooper, Cooper Walker, Maxwell Cooper, Cooper Valler, Cooper Mill, Buck Cooper, Floyd Cooper and Tony Cooper. He told me that people are using his pictures and that they are the fakes. I also asked him if I could send him a letter to where he was, he claimed that the last camp he was at, they had a package that exploded and at this new camp, they were not allowed to get any mail at all...really?? I wasnt born yesterday

Someone named Shawn Cooper on IG was using this mans pictures, and tried to get me to open up a bank account in my name in the States so ge coukd put money it to visit me. But I had to send him the info. We messaged me from October 9 through November 13th when I called him out on it. I sent him all the pictures I found on Google to him. I since blocked him and reported him to IG. I think they removed his profile, or he deleted it before they could do it.

ReplyDeleteWe don't give out names and we do ask that your respect their privacy and not contact them. They do get a lot of unwanted messages which is a shame. Let them live their life without having to answer for what is done with them. He does know he is used.

DeleteEach 'name' is a team and so you may have one or you could have another of the team. There are apps to help them with their English and some of them are educated and learn good English. They make a lot of money, it's worth working hard to do it well. They more they work getting better the more they steal. BUT.. bear in mind every chat with you they are learning from you to be better. A scammer never gets nothing. It may just be scamming practice but no chat is wasted.

As we continue talking he told me that he wanted to come see me and that he needs 5000to pay for early retirement when he asked me for money it raised a big red flag so I started searching him i found so much stuff on the fact that he was a scammer and I confrted him and he said that other people stole the picture and that's why I saw that he claims that he's the man in the pictures when I asked his first name he said it was Jason... Something still didn't sit right so iv been searching on him and came across a Casey lee cooper same picture he had sent me on that profile and more so know I'm confused lol but I have reported the if profile what else can I do

SAME thing!!!!! Met on POF gave the same lost parents in car crash and Baby mom committed suicide.... I was skeptical because that's a lot of craziness for one person. He called me.....connection sucked and he did not sound like he was from texas... then he Video chatted with me and. The person one the other end was the person from the photos but again bad connection... Has anyone else had him video chat them?

They use videos that they find on the real person's FB page or wherever they got it from . Then the mess up the audio part to make it sound like a bad connection .

I feel really bad for the real guy. Story hasn't changed all that much, says he's stationed in Afghanistan, has a son, parents passed, one brother he doesn't speak to anymore. Normal conversations until he started asking for gift cards...got real weird after that.

Talking an Edward Cooper now for two weeks. Had video chat and seen lips move to the words he was saying. I sent numerous videos after that matched also. Searched two weeks ago and this never showed up. Now I am confused, don't know what I think.

This asshole is now going under the name James Cooper. He’s deployed but his permanent residence is in Minot North Dakota and he has a little boy. His wife died of breast cancer three years ago. He tried to get me to send money to his son for his upcoming birthday. When I questioned him why I would send money to somebody I haven’t met he became rather upset. He says all the right things all the time he is definitely a smooth talker. But you’ve always been told if something is too good to be true it usually is so I started doing my checking and I have called this asshole out on his bullshit and I have yet to receive an answer but he is blocked now. If your gut and your instincts are telling you somethings not right trust your own intuition. There’s too many assholes out there that take advantage of people and this asshole is one of them.

I have been recently scammed by this man as well. Met him on Facebook Dating under the name of Allen Cooper where we started texting back and forth. Initially he said he was from Louisville, KY and that he had shared custody of his son, Eric. Was supposed to meet but something came up and he couldn't make it; he needed money and I refused. I searched and found out the scammer topic and called him out on it. Now he tells me his real name is Casey, he lives in Lafayette, IN, his ex girlfriend named Alicia is crazy so he has blocked me from all the social media profiles I've found on IG, FB, and now TikTok. Said he isn't with her anymore but still talks to her and takes new pictures of them are for the kids. Says he lied about his real self cause he doesn't want people thinking he is fake and is supposedly going to court for custody of his son, Cannon, and needs money for his lawyer. He keeps saying he will meet me but always has an excuse of why we can't. .. not sure what to think anymore.
