THIS IS ANOTHER SCAM IN THE INCREASING TREND OF TARGETING GAY MEN.
Just as in all scams.. he loves you in a couple of days.. and wants to be with you... he tells you he has an up coming birthday (Nov 30th)... and he wants presents sending.. a care package of t-shirts, underwear, cookies, etc.
He doesn't ask for money yet.. he says he wants to be with you when his 'enlistment ends' on Dec 30th... they will ask for money then.

Found him... or he found me on POF (Plenty of Fish) dating app. He would message early in the mornings disappear midday for his office army job and pop back up at 7 in the evening "after work". He asked tons of relationship questions and always had an extra long romantic response ready within seconds. Quick to call you babe in EVERY sentence. After 1 week he was in love. His phone was not good for video or phone call.
ReplyDeleteAfter 2 weeks he was shipped out to West Africa (Nigeria). He suddenly lost his luggage with his wallet upon arrival and have no way to eat. Immediately asks for money, at first it was whatever I can afford and then it was £250. The money was to be transferred via World Remit to an agent or his commander who cannot help him because they're all somehow broke and don't get paid until the end of deployment. He's using a California number and claims he lives in Manchester (UK).
Oh yes he lost his mother in a car accident years ago and does not talk to his other family members. Yet when asked why no family can assist with money he says they're all dependent on him. He also claimed to have been cheated on by his ex of 4 years just before their wedding with his bestfriend.
