HOW DO YOU SPOT A SCAMMER PROFILE

How do you spot a scammer profile....

well... actually, a mile away.
Look, a good looking man contacts you randomly on Facebook. If he pretends to be in the Military, he is FAKE. 100% of military profiles contacting women on Facebook are Fakes. Shocking isn’t it.

The military aren’t allowed to have Social Media accounts giving away where they are deployed..... no exceptions. (Yes, I know some army have them still before I am pulled up again because someone's brother has one... they are for contact.. not proclaiming they are living in Kabul and sending out hundreds of Friend Requests). For one thing they are far too busy. For another... just imagine you were a terrorist organisation and your enemy was standing up taking selfies and putting them on Facebook.... no, doesn’t happen. Telling the Taliban who they are and where they are living.  I know it flatters you.... but have a healthy scepticism. Think first.

Now.. next thing is... they are either a widow or divorced. More often than not a widow. Male or female, their spouse has died tragically in a car accident.... or some other misfortune. Or cancer... they like cancer. I even once had one whose wife had had cancer and caused her to drive badly and crashed the car !!

Undecided one !  Childbirth ! In Africa women still die in childbirth, they don’t so much in other places.. but scammers use died in childbirth as it’s sad.

If it’s divorced the wife was caught in bed with his best friend.  They have been left with a child/children they adore !!! Sometimes they are looking for a new mother for them.

They love you so quickly. I mean really quickly... then they ask for money. Now, I am going to put on a separate note about the reasons for sending money. There aren’t many and they all use one of a small handful of reasons.
However, look at their profile. Honestly, you can really tell they are fake just by looking I think
Remember... if it seems to good to be true.. then it probably is.
******************
Part Two:
Does your scammer call you ‘Dear’? Or has some pet name for you? They often do. Do they call you ‘baby’. Very common and they think we like this form of endearment.

This is because they speak to so many women/men it saves them getting the name wrong. One of the scammers listed on this page had 6 ‘Wendy’s liking his pictures... well, that’s one way not to get it wrong ! Just have them all of the same name. The do just type a letter into the Facebook Search and so pick out the likely looking ones in the list alphabetically.

As I said, they will get close to you very very quickly. They will love you... distance is no object.  Age doesn’t matter. (Age is only a number my queen).  Of course it doesn’t because you’ll never see them... or meet them. They are only interested in your money.

You want to talk on a video link and not just telephone.... they always have a reason not to ! Phone isn’t working, they aren’t allowed for ‘security’, there isn’t enough signal... etc. That is because you are not talking to the man in the picture you think you are talking to... you are talking to a youth/man in Africa. Rarely, but sometimes they have Skype footage of the man they are pretending to be. However, it won’t work properly, they’ll say it’s not a good link so can’t get sound or answer you.

I have DELA BRADSHAW SAHARA as swindler. He
tells me: I am Dela, from the United States, I work with the US Army. UU
I am currently stationed in Kabul Afghanistan for a peacekeeping mission. I am currently deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom as a member of the Joint Task Force of Joint Special Operations.

A few days later he tells me:
My love, how are you today, I hope you are well? I have been very busy with my duty. I hope you understand, every day I get up giving thanks to God for us. Because what started as an Internet contact between us now has become a strong bond between two friends who have now discovered the true meaning of friendship in a natural way. For me, it's as if time is deliberately tilted and stretched so that I can play its part; Making us feel the joy of what it is to be true friends. All I know now is that throughout these last few days, I have learned a lot from this friendship of ours and have seen what it is to surrender completely to the other person when you are so far away. The most important thing I have learned, among many other things, is to trust and be honest with you. You have a good day. I love you so much.

And today he tells me:
I'll come to see you soon so we can be together. At this moment, I am still in Afghanistan for my mission, honey, it has not been easy here, but God protect us.

Please take good care of me and keep in mind that you have a good woman who is ready to appreciate and appreciate you. I hope you understand what I mean. Just relax your mind and pray for my safety because I will be with you soon. I miss you so much and you live in me forever and I am happy that you will be writing to me every day. My dear, I will be very busy today. Hugs and kisses.

THESE TYPES BELIEVE THAT ONE IS GOING TO FALL IS THEIR SCAMS ... JAJAJAJA; THERE ARE MANY CONTRADICTIONS IN WHAT THEY SAY IN THEIR MESSAGES. YOU ONLY HAVE TO BE ATTENDED WHAT THEY WRITE AND NEVER SEND MONEY.
THANK YOU FOR THIS PAGE FOR COMMON WELFARE. REGARDS

EZEKIEL OSASARE OSARETIN is a SCAMMER who used phone nr +44 7537 180975 (UK)
Met him on a datingsite for seniors. So watch out!
Call me dear and his princess and want to be my prince forever. Other words: miss you, you are so sweet. Must finish another project in Turkey and then retire. The project will last only 4 weeks if I want to be patient and wait for him. Of course! Because I have nowhere in a hurry. After he finished is project he will for always be with me. While he is working on his project, he can no longer use internet banking. He told me that he contected his bank in the UK and they told him that they blocked all IP's from Turkey because someone was trying to hack him. He needs money to pay import duties on imported cables that are needed for the installations he is working on. But he can not pay the import duties because his bank has blocked the IP address. Now the project is stopped. He asks me to transfer 3,000 euros and I get it back with interest. When I refuse, there is nothing left of the charming and loving man. I'm being called a selfish and cruel woman who only thinks of herself. Well, I'm glad I thought about myself. He did not get a penny from me. And his deep love for me was immediately gone.

I was contacted by https://www.facebook.com/Adrien.jallet23, claiming to live in Chatou, France, and using a photo of the actor/singer/entrepreneur David Charvet. The profile is locked. This person also uses a gmail account martial.couter12@gmail.com. It is a person from Africa, somewhere from Mali or Ivory Coast.

our scammer used the names Annie and James same picture and the phone #'s (2560 888-7885 also (408)692 5132 also (919) 421-7709 they used craigs list ad about a wedding dress we were selling tried to send a fake check for $1170 more and have us western union it to Al. where it was to go to Africa

I was scammed by a guy who friended me on FB. He never asked for money. He goes by the name Gerald James Blake aka Jimmy. He’s supposedly out of San Diego with a son named James. Not true. When I called him out after googling his pics, he got mad & blocked me. FB is geraldjimblake. He has Instagram too. His ‘son’ even emailed me from jamesjjboy10@gmail.com. I don’t know how to share pics on here or I would share those too.

I was an attempted victim- JAMES RICHARDS claiming to be from Duluth MN. He has an account on MEETME and it has shown up with multiple pictures of different men. He now claims his account has been hacked- yet gives the same phone number of said "hacker" 218-461-8189 He told me he was in imports and went to Africa for business to buy gems- and said he was going to get me a bracelet...yet then he asked me for $1,500, then $2,000 lol I am a single mother and student...what an idiot! At least try scamming someone with money hahaahaha. Anyways- he had plenty of photos of the same guy- super cute, seemed legit- even some pics with his friends children (which I said look exactly like him...so I am sure its a pic of his victim and his children) He said he loved me almost immediately and I told him not to because thats weird. We had a discussion regarding scammers and laughed about it- making fun and he said he would never ask me for money...HAH! He says he is from France and has no family as his parents died in a crash. Now with the new *older guy profile he claims to be in Real Estate. I even tried reverse searching the photos he sent...nothin! but beware! He has an accent that I could not pin point- we talked on the phone plenty...his number is a GOOGLE account number..not a legit phone if you ask me.

Hello Everyone,
TINDER users please be aware of scammer with profile "Richard 57," No location, too sweet description of himself, and black and white picture of tanned man, brown hair, big smile and white shirt. Once in contact, he sends pics of a different person, claiming he lost weigh. The new pictures are of extremely handsome blondish man, blue eyes, perfect smile (I found out by analyzing pics details, that the victim is possibly Dutch). The scammer's Whatsapp is 44 7537 185547, and eventhough I declined to help him with money, the phone is still in use (he has not blocked me) and he also changed profile pic, by using another picture of the victim.
He claims to live in Windsor, outside London for the last 2 years, drives Jaguar and to have swedish and english ancestry; lived in Canada 17 years. Lost both parents long ago. His written English is "weird" and TOO KIND, and his accent (we spoke a few times on whatsapp) kind of funny. Additionally, he lost wife of 16 years about 5 years ago; they could not have children. "He's very successful with car import/export biz," and recently going into trading gold bars, which he went to buy in Ghana this past week. That's when he asked for money to finalize his deal, claiming his "biometric bank account in England was suspended to protect him while in Ghana."

I have pictures of victim and whatsapp messages, in addition to a couple of emails from richardhoffman85@gmail.com.

I have made several contacts on Tinder with decent, bona-fide people from various countries and running into this SCAMMER has been quite the shock.

Would be awesome to catch these individuals, but I guess that's too much to ask.
I cannot imagine the life of a victim, having his/her pictures all over the internet and being used to commit fraud.

I would like to share the pictures and communications with this scammer, but didn't find a way to post them on your very helpful site.

All the best,

Phone number +1-914-465-6429 is a fake celebrity scammer (anyone come across this one where you comment on a celebrity's legit social media, and then get a reply from a profile using Messenger without Facebook, supposedly from the celeb, saying something like "thanks for your support" and then if the conversation continues, asking for iTunes cards?)

I came across this fool when it contacted a loved one claiming to be Stephen Amell, more like Stephen SCAMell (I stepped in before he actually asked family for a loan to pay to get a non existent package out of Thailand). I have reason to suspect this thing is pulling the same con claiming to be Lisa Vanderpump.

    1. This is so so common !! I mean, who would send a son to a woman he doesn't know.. yet they say they will do just that.
Who is it? Maybe I can post him because sometimes it hits home when they see it written down as their man.
There will be a LOT of Christmases ruined, they are scamming heavily for Christmas.
Is she or you on FB.. because you can contact us there... and I can try to talk to her ! I hate to see this because I know the misery these greedy evil creatures are causing.
If you tell me who he is.. hopefully we can go from there.

    1. The important thing is, if he does contact you again to ignore him. Do not speak to him. It does no good for you but they HATE it. So it is the best thing to do.
He will move on. The sad fact is that he will find someone else who will pay him and send what he wants.

Don't be scared.. and that is why I say don't let him speak to you. He will bully you.. they are just words and he has nothing left. He is a lazy, greedy scammer, empty words are nothing.

I am sorry, I don't know how to report on POF... but please know.. it is flooded with scammers.

Dear Scam haters I have had the most awful day today as I have discovered by researching the man I have been in contact with since October is actually in Turkey and he is married & not in Nigeria trapped to make exit as he was detained on December 1 2017. I have been fighting for him since Dec 1 2017 & it was very strange when I contacted the English government in January 12 2018- they said he was fine & not detained. Well upon finding this mans real name GAFUR ALISER i was shocked & then saw your pages, thank you so much as I had fallen completely in love with him & I have been waiting for him to email since last week, yet he said on the phone he had no connection, & was stil in Nigeria, yet upon finding his facebook page, he had photos of himself with his friends celebrating some event. I was ans still am in shock, but thank you for the truth

I'm so sorry they found you. They are evil to the core. He will keep trying.. it's hard but now you have to block and not let him have that contact.
He will either keep up the pretence or he will 'confess'.. which is more lies and scam, just a different story as he knows he will get nowhere with his old lies.
So.. stay strong and he in control of him, not him of you.
I'm glad you know, it's hard, but it's best.

I caught a scammer last week, he entered in contact with him me on Facebook with the picures of the man above, with the name of Thomas Blanc, he was doing all his best so that i felt in love with him quickly, he said things such as » my queen, i will do everything for you, i will never let u down, i love you so so much honey, ect...if not you i will day. He pretended as widow and have twoo sons, kelvin and Mario, he works in van tukey but comes from texas, he is contractor ect. He felt in love with him but i started to have a big doubt the first time he ask me to give him money, he ask me he picture of him with a lot of money,. I have understood that it is a scam, he talked to me with a camèra but i noticed that it was a fake. I was disappointed but i continued playing the game,. So when i caught him i forced him to tell all things, he said the he gave up because i am so kind and have a good heart so he felt in love with me, he was very sorry ect, he had given me his real facebook, he said that he do that to survive ect, i have never accepted his friend request on facebook but i know now that he his someone from Ghanna, so that it my story. Now i am sad for the man in this pictures because may not know that many of his pictures are used to do bad things...

    3. The carrying on with the 'I'm a poor man from Ghana, so many bad things have happened... I need to survive' story is as common as being a widow and a contractor.
To survive.. he has a phone and internet (which isn't cheap there), he is saying this because he could go no further with the scam.
They are lying scum. There is no reason to do this... there is no survival in crime.

  15. Dear Scam Haters United, my son is involved with a "woman" claiming to live in NYC. His father and I have tried valiantly to convince him that this person he is speaking to is not who he thinks. He adamantly refuses to hear anything about it, so we left it alone, until last night. A little about my son: he's 22 years old, autistic and claims that no one likes him. The perfect victim, yes?

I actually spoke to this person via my son's phone last night, and demanded that they stop speaking with him. Of course, this meant nothing to them, they are still speaking, but during the conversation, I brought out a few things that they didn't know I was aware of, i.e. Internet cafes in Africa, the fact that the speaker was male instead of female, etc.

The speaker goes by the name of Paula Newton. I don't know if you can do any research on the person by the pictures on Instagram, but if you could, it would be appreciated. "Her" IG page is marked private, but I managed to finagle my way into getting "her" to friend me on IG, here is the link, https://www.instagram.com/paula_newton25/

I hope it works where you can see the pictures. Thank you.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Well... yes. he is the perfect victim. They are always men on laptops posing as women.
We will get that IG page closed.. it takes about 24 hrs sadly.. but we can get it removed... that might prove something to him. I've sent a request too.. although they may not accept Scamhaters !!
If you ask them to stop.. that gives them strength and they will convince him you are against him and put a wedge between you.. divide and conquer. I can't see just from that one picture who she is..
They have 'scam houses' as well.. rooms where they can gather where there is WiFi... and you can often hear many others in the background.
If you have other pictures.. you can send to scamhatersunited@gmail.com or come to the FB page and come on to Messages there... see how the closing of the account goes with him !! They have his phone number so the communication can still go on... don't tell him we will get it closed in case he tells them and they temporarily shut it themselves.
If you can come to FB we can decide how best to proceed.
We can also talk to him. Now we never mention this is through a family member, we say we have discovered they are a victim from another source.. and intervene that way.
All is not lost.. I just hope that he does not send money.. because that demand won't be long in coming !

PLEASE.. I know it's too late now.. but it's hard for us to say so much to never send money to someone you have never met, it will always be a scam... IT'S WORDS THAT ARE NOT BEING HEARD.... Think how much scamming would change if nobody sent money.. and no women would be hurt.

    Y hoy me dice:
Vendré a verte pronto para que podamos estar juntos. En este momento, todavía estoy en Afganistán para mi misión, cariño, no ha sido fácil aquí, pero Dios nos proteja.

Por favor cuidate bien de mí y ten en cuenta que tienes una buena mujer que está lista para apreciarte y apreciarte. Espero entiendas lo que quiero decir.

    1. I use an App called Reversee on mobile.
Or Google Images or Tineye on a browser. Also look at what they say... that is more telling than the pictures.

    1. It's a problem as it happens on all of them.
The fake package scam is one of their oldest as well.. I wish people would know that the 'star' would NEVER Do this, it makes no sense.

ITunes cards are used in fraud. They can be electronically'loaded' to change the amount on them so a $100 card can become $1000 for them to spend.

      Thanks for the information

  65. I am on instagram. I’ve had 3 scammers the first one had pictures of a guy named Johann Saathoff who is a member of the German Democratic Party! I reported him and blocked him on instagram. The scammer wanted 2 ITunes gift cards! A $100 dollars a piece I didn’t send him anything! He was using the Christian websites on instagram to seek out potential victims. His username is MarkWilliam869. The second one scammer was telling me he was in the military and was from Orlando Florida with a 15 year old son.

Nobody that tells you military is ever real. They do not do this. More will try and they love Christian pages.. so be very careful.

  66. The second scammer blocked my account on instagram. He never asked for anything but he didn’t get a chance either! I am currently wondering about someone I am talking to. He has not asked for money from me. He says he lives in Virginia USA. When you ask someone where they are from online they don’t write USA after their state. He supposedly lost a wife 3 years ago in labor and has a daughter named Sommy! Today he gave me some stuff about him putting me on a former job contract to get anywhere from $3,000 to $5,000 a month that they owe him sent to me. But I would have to send credentials in writing to the company!! I believe he is trying to use me to extort money from a company! I am not writing anyone but you all. He didn’t give me his email however he gave me his daughters email which is Sommy14@gmail.com

    1. Don't.. block everything and get out of the whole thing. He's a scammer and you are not talking to the man in the pictures. You are being scammed by all of these stories.
