The scammer using pictures of "Rob Stevens" also contacted me through twitter with the account name as follows:

He called himself Ben Stephens and told me the pity story of his military life, and that he is divorced with two children (Ben and Cassie).Also, I just checked and he is going by the name of Patrick Stephen's jnr under the same twitter i just typed. His whatsApp number he gave me is +215-278-9417 (I also blocked him and reported him). I also checked on instagram, and seems like the real Stevens has had his IG account shut down 3 times. Anyone know if that's the real man of the pictures? Because if not I can help report him too, but I would not want to report the account if that truly belongs to him. I felt so bad for the victims, at least I know better and never fell for any of his "devoted love" to me or open any credit card for him. The scammer got very defensive when I said no and tried to guilt trip me into helping him. DO NOT FALL FOR IT!

He is going by James Newsome Stevens. Sergeant Stevenson US Army currently deployed in Russia. He said he lives in NYC, just lost his father. He is half American half Japanese which explains his Asian accent. NO other family, mother abandoned them. He's single, 38 yrs old and only took cash to Russia, they are not allowed to use cards so he can't purchase ITunes which he uses to download music. He doesn't trust woman, isn't it funny? This is so horrible, he actually puts so much effort into his dialogue.

I always feel like having to apologise for Instagram just being this bad.
I've Recently have spoken to Chris Stevens on POF claiming he was in a peace keeping mission in Nigeria then started asking for money to get him home to his sick daughter, now he is apparently in jail in Guadalajara due to them finding drugs in his luggage and needs money to bail him out and for a flight to come home. I've called the Army Recruitment to ask if there are questions I can ask him to see if he 's legit when I do ask questions he's angered quickly.He's asked to talk on KIK I feel stupid for believing him. What people do for money these is down right horrible and to do that to our soldiers let alone anyone else sickens me to no end. Would like to know who the true names of the men in the photos are.

Como eu sou muito ligeira, comecei a busca por fraude, e hj com mais tempo finalizei toda minha pesquisa. Ele é uma fraude. História basicamente quase a mesma. Se apresentou a mim como Matthew Stevens, militar no Afeganistão. Porém para deixar ele sismada comigo, disse que tenho um parente no kazaquistão é um outro parente Jornalista no Pakistãn, pronto de imediato surgiu uma missão que ele poderia não volta vivo. Bloqueei o mesmo no WhatsApp. E o número que ele estava a converse comigo é esse.... +1 (430) 230-0138

ReplyDeleteHi. I met this man on tagged and later chatted on WhatsApp this is his number+12314030156. He said he was an army and got stranded in aegan sea. The captain said that they need to offload their valuable things. He needed my help. He needs to sent his things to me coz he doesn't have any family so i gave him my info. And the next day i received a text confirming that i was successfully enrolled to a credit card which i didn't apply for. How you help me to solve this problem coz i am just a single mother. And i don't have a stable job. Please help me. I'm begging you.
ReplyDeleteThere is no real man on Taggedm there is no Army soldier there is no package and you have given them enough information fror identity theft. Contact that card Provider immediately and get it cancelled and get in contact quickly with Experian and place a fraud alert on your details. AND GET AWAY FROM YOUR SCAMMERS.

ANYONE that claims to be Military is never real.
They are not allowed to do it and they do not do it.
Every time someone says they are military, it is a scammer from
West Africa with love words.

I sent a few selfies and my birthday but he didnt ask for any more personal information or really anything else. Still trying to convince me he is real. This is absolutely horrible.
Can y'all work on making his image more "google searchable" I thought I was doing the right thing searching images but had no good results.
But he isn't real.. THE MAN THEY ARE USING IS DECEASED.... DIED LAST SUMMER..

As for being more searchable.. we post the pictures on here and Rob is one many sites. We can only post them and hope Google gives you the results. This post here isn't the only on of Rob Stevens there are many.

He contacted me on Twitter on September 25th 2020 under the name Lee Moen Stevens.
ReplyDeleteHis story was: father died of heart attack. He was raised by a Chinese mentor. He met the mother when he was older. He got married, got one girl name Lucy, she is 5 years old now. He is divorced now. He works for the US army, he is a sergeant and supposed to be coming back home from Afghanistan this December. He was on a peacemaking mission.
He said to be searching for true love. 3 days after chatting he declared his love and asked me to be his woman. We only chatted for 5 days. He was very romantic. He never wanted to share any experiences from his day, he avoided answering some questions. He could not make phone calls, video calls, or able to send a picture of the day. I wanted him to send me a picture with a sign saying my name and the date. But, he said was not possible. His English was very good.
The 5th day he asked for financial help for his bitcoin investments. That was the red flag I was waiting for. So, I immediately started digging on the internet and found a lot of stories about him under different names. It seems that the real guy died in 2019. I confronted him, he denied everything, he said that people are using his photos. He got upset and mad at me for not believing him. But never tried to prove me wrong. I'm glad that this nightmare only lasted 5 days. I'm sorry if other victims lasted longer than that.

I knew Rob Stevens and I know how much he hated this. I was also very upset when Rob was killed in a motor cycle accident last June.
DeleteI think it is very very sad that scammers still use him, it is a testament to their absolute evil as they do know he is deceased.
Rob left a loving wife and devastated mother and small children. He should just be remembered for being an amazing person and nobody deserves this is life, must less in death.

He contacted me on Instagram invented that he is in an special operation in Iran. His history with one daughter in Oklahoma, a mom in rehab. Always asking for phone cards like I tunes or Google plays cards. I discovered the truth when I searched some pictures on google and I told him, he confessed is living in Nigeria. I blocked and report the account stev.ens804

I feel so bad when I discovered the real Stevens past away. These people use him and don´t leave his soul in peace but Now Im little afraid because the guy confessed the truth and said that really Love to me. That's insane.
DeleteThe confession of being in love with you is common.. VERY common and it is an extension of the scam once they know they can get nowhere with the stolen pictures. He still scams through hate and he still knows he is using a deceased person's pictures.
