He now says that he is from California and is a team leader in the US Tank regiment in Afghanistan, but he spends his leave in his late mothers family home in Leicester.
His back story is that both his parents have died (his father is from the US and his mother is from the UK Leicester). His only daughter Maya lives in America with her grandparents, but he hasn't seen her in a very long time.
He says that he did have a mobile phone issued by the military, but it broke while on service, and he isn't due a new one for a couple of months (though other reports have said he has asked for money for a new phone he never mentioned this).
He was very forward and within a couple of days was talking about coming over to the UK to visit. He made note of the fact that it may be difficult because of money, but this went no further. His biggest issue would come from the fact that getting leave would be very difficult, and that he will have to try really hard to get time off.

He just friended me... Said he just got back from the patrol... I asked what he was patrolling and he said, "I'm military man, in US army." I said, "OK, I used to be Navy... what are you patrolling?" Then he said forgive my english I'm from Egypt bahahaha... Just reported to FB

ReplyDeleteWell. Over a period of time there will have been pictures available that the real man did not know where being stolen. A lot of pictures used are older ones.
DeleteEveryone used to have personal profiles packed with pictures a few years ago. The last thing anyone thought of was that scammers would come along and steal them to use like this. Once realisation it, it was too late.

He is real.. he does know. There is nothing he can do. His name is none of these used her however.
DeleteWe know they should be taken down.. Facebook will take if they are fairly recent.. but there is never guarantee with Facebook of them getting rid of scammers... they are not good at it.
He contacted me on dating site okc just sent me pics.... Calling himself Bill his email is-billschmidt662@gmail.com I will keep pics and post if needed.

DeleteSo here's the back story I was given. He's originally from Cuba. Has a daughter called Maya who lives with her Granny? He works in Syria. He is stuck there and needs money to get home. He's been there it will be two years this October. He is orphaned. Most scammers are. I only found out last week this guy lives in Tottenham. Won't video call or send picture messages. Don't be fooled by this Ar**hole.

DeleteDon't give them as long as you did. I honestly doubt he is from Tottenham but block them, let their phones go silent.
