I was contacted by an Eric Smith Cooper he is claiming that he is the real 1. he said he is in China right now and will be back by Christmas time he says he does have a son and is in good terms with his son's mom but has never been married. He gave me a phone number but said never to call it because he is not ready to talk and doesn't like to send pictures because of all the stuff on the internet and has asked me to change my phone number and to get off Facebook.

He says he is from Texas his mom pasted away when he was15 and he loves to cook. I feel so bad for the actually guy who is being used. Wished they can stop this cooper fraud.

I have also been talking to him for more than a week now and for some reason today he got too comfortable and asked me for a $100 itunes gift card and that's when I decided to check him out on the internet and thank God I came across this. I went back on instagram and I blocked his scamming ass.I was very disappointed at first but I am glad that I didn't fall prey to him by sending him money. He is very charming and I almost believed him because his English was really good.I am really embarrassed about this incident as I am writing this because I even joked about him being catfish as I watch the show Catfish.

DeleteI wish we knew how to do more and wipe this out. It's the biggest evil left to grow in the world. The Army, US Government, FB/IG and dating sites all could do something about it and yet don't.
They don't see every profile picture has having a human story and every lie hurting a real person.

No i am most definitely not on IG. The only one on IG is the wife. I know there are a lot of fakes on IG using my pictures but i assure you anyone using my pictures on IG it's most definitely not me on there.
I know they are all over FB as well. So many profiles with my pictures i have reported them myself but no sooner do you get rid of them they appear again. I get messages of abuse calling me a scammer and other nasty names very hurtful.

Its getting to the point now where we can't even go out without woman coming up to us and hurling abuse. This woman just said i've just sent you money as you needed it to get home and you lied. I told her that people are using his pictures for scamming women. She managed to calm down enough for me to explain what has being on and told her to stop block him and never speak to this person again. Yet her sister was so grateful she punched me in the face in front of my son, I'm now sporting a lovely black eye and a cracked cheek bone. Police are involved now. I just wish this stop it's destroying my life :( x

I was just contacted by him on Grindr pretending he's looking for a husband. I almost felt for it with the hot pics but when the long replies came in withing 20 seconds I realized they were pre-made messages. Thank god I do my background check and found this here. He posted himself as David Cooper in Kabul Afghanistan. Be vigilant, when it's too good to be true, it generally is.

He is on Facebook going by Cooper Daniel in one profile and daniel cooper in another. He's sent numerous messages all because I looked up his profile and found the 2. I messaged back to cooper daniel telling him that he had 2 profiles and his account may have been hacked. I have ignored, and deleted. He's super persistent. I feel horrible for the real guy and his family that this is going on.

He looked like the photos he’d sent me - I can only assume he has a video of the real Cooper somehow that he was using. Scary if that’s the case. After the call he asked me for a ‘favour’ of course... not happening.

DeleteCooper is aware of this and hates it. Scammers are inhuman and greedy and don't care who they use or hurt to get money !

I’m not sure if it helps but I now have a photo of the scammer I was talking to, I also have details of the person he wanted me to send money to (money I certainly would never send). They’re not the smartest people.
