I'm on a few dating sites and I got a message from a Nickels Henry on MeetMe. I knew right away that this was bogus cuz he is using these pictures and claiming to be 40. Ya... this guy in the picture is probably in his early 20s. Also, if you're from United States, you don't put that in your first message "I'm from USA..." you put which state you're from. Just a heads up to anyone curious about him.
So apparently this fool is on Adam4Adam portraying the same story as others have claimed as Tyler Virgin Nickels. Always wanted something financial and asked that I email his commanding officer so he can go on leave. BS. Deleting google hangouts
He's also on Skout under the name Nickels. Got out when I image searched him and this thread popped up.

He is still at it. I commented on an associates facebook post and he was on it and then he friend requested me. Of course i accepted it then messaged him and his English was broken and he even commented a weird comment under a post of my daughter for her birthday, which i deleted immediately. I did a google image search and found this thread and immediately deleted him. I told my associate about my findings and she says he is real and she video chatted with him once because he was "going to commit suicide". That he lived in PA but moved to GA. i blocked him from contacting me.

I would block and come out of the whole thing. They hate being blocked but give him the chance of you telling him you know he will get nasty and blackmailing.

He just messaged me last week first by IG, then we kept in touch until now by WA +1 407 543-2881. I just discovered the fake of all of this. The scammer (Sergeant Eden King, as he said to be) call me by voicecall sometimes and made me a videocall once (last 40 seconds by Viber and from another number +201123029601, was this guy!). Told me he was deployed in Cairo, wanted to marry with me, felt in love inmedatly and want to come to me in his birthday (April 15th) but I had to request for his leave to his "Captain". Claimed to work for the US Marine but rised in Florida, no kids, 30s, dead father and he were from Norway. I'm not an English speaker native so I couldn't identify his accent (strange btw). Until now he didn't ask for money just for that fake request leave and wanted to send a email (that's were I realized smt was wrong, cause the mail was so fake: militarymail003@gmail.com). I blocked him for a couple of hours and saw someone sent me a messaged on WA from this number +234 813 273 7142 (Nigeria lada) but the text was deleted, he inmedeatly knew I blocked him and complained me. I just reported and blocked both numbers on WA.
I found this site cause one of the six photos they sent me, the first one. Thanks a lot for show me this horrible way to earn money and be alert in the future. I'd like to send you the rest of the pics so then someone can find this shit by those.
I was just almost tricked by this guy too. Same thing, guy tried to say we were going to get engaged and sent videos of him and pictures and then asked me to buy a steam card for him because hes deployed in egypt. I said no and said prove your the real guy by holding a note saying hi and my name on it up to his face and he said "that childish" and wouldnt take the picture of himself holding a note live. Hahah so busted.
DeleteCareful with that, they can often do it using edited pictures... but he busted himself there ! If anyone says they are military, they are always fake. The military are not allowed to do this and never do. Only scammers. Also, none would ever tell you where they deployed... they are all fake... photo or not

Im same as everyone else at falling for this guy at first. Told me his name was David Thomas Nickels n hes 36. A sergeant in the military. His parents are dead n he has a 6yr old daughter who doesn't see her mother anymore as he caught her cheating on him. I fell for him hook line and sinker like an idiot. Said he was coming home next month to marry me. BS. When I called him out on it he said i shouldnt be nasty to him n i hurt his feelings. Im glad i decided to google this guy afterall

DeleteI just spoke to him last night on Whatsapp but first chatted with him on Tagged. He said his name was Frank Nickels Tommy, a US Marine and assigned in Gambia. I googled his name and saw lots of pictures of him so, I told him that he is a scammer. He tried to call me but I declined, I'd rather not believe in his lies. Whoever is the owner of this photo, I hope they can do something about it. Beware of scammer guys! Better to see someone in person first before trusting them.

Ended up giving almost $3000 in iTunes cards, steam cards and vanilla visa cards to get his phone working at a military training. Where else can we report him? I've cancelled all my accounts and gotten lifelock to cover myself. Actually makes me feel better that there are others out there and I'm not sitting her doubting myself.

He has a 5 ywar old daughter and his ex-girlfriend is not in picture due to drug use.. Have been talking to him all of September and October so far. He just recently asked me for money so he could come back to the states to see me and then his daughter. I started questioning him on past statements and he could not give me same answer at first. He has told me he loves me and can't wait to start a life with me. Little too fast there for me. When I told him I did not have the money he said he was hoping to come home tomorrow. Said my credit card was maxed out. My cousin did some checking for me and found out he was trying to scam me. That's what gave me what I needed to mess with him and ask questions from past conversations and about how he could just unenlist from duty. He said he had someone helping him and he could if it was medical. First, we met on a migraine group and he didn't even use migraine as the medical excuse. He used PTSS. Just all of a sudden like that. I know the signs. He also played up concern on my medical conditions. I maybe a little slow to catch on to somethings but smart enough to go to the correct people or person for assistance.

They are literally everywhere and they get into every group to contact as many women as they can . I am pleased your cousin found us and please take great care... they do not care who they contact... all they want is money !
One scammer, in particular,spoke very eloquent English, and was well experienced in deceit. As he had clearly honed his writing skills in pretence and manipulation. He also showed great interest in my life and hobbies, and gave me positive affirmations, which made me feel good. And after a few weeks, he professed to falling for me! However, he didnt initially ask for money, but waited for the right moment, when he thought that I was believing his every word. And he didnt use the usual chat up line of being a widower and in the army. He must have dropped that chat up line, due to it previously being ineffective, or used by too many other people. He also had only 1 or 2 photos, and both photos looked like completely time period, i.e years apart! That's a definite red flag! Eventually he asked me to pay his contractors, as his bank had frozen his bank account. But he promised to pay me back, as soon as his bank account was frozen, which was a lie, of course! Of course I didnt pay him any money, and he stopped chatting with me for a while after that. Eventually, he blocked me, too, which was a great success!
ReplyDeleteFinally, never ever pay anyone anything, and dont send card gifts, either. The reason why they ask for card gifts is because it is more difficult to directly trace them. And as soon as they realise that you have stopped (if you did!) sending them money to their email address, they will block you, and immediately change their email address. Also if you have chatted with someone who has asked you for money on hangouts, be warned they also now have your personal email address. So they can now pretend to be you by trying to access your amazon or Netflix account, as they know you probably have these accounts! So always BLOCK and REPORT anyone, who wants to chat with you on hangouts or Whatsap, from any social media site!

There are many thousands of scammers using different 'formats'! they have choice.
The reason they ask for Gift Cards is because they can sell them.... look at Gift Card Loaders on FB and Instagram.
