ReplyDeleteHe tried to scam me for a 100euro card or something, but I was always suspicious. I just wanted to see how far he would go. He told me he was being deployed do Iraq, because he is a sergeant major in the US army. Then he wanted me to open an offshore account to save money for our retirement.

He won't video chat because he is not the man! A real soldier could call and video call at any time he was not on duty!

They just tried to scam me for $110. The scammer is currently using @ivandale334 on Instagram since at least the beginning of Feb 2023. I reported the profile as scam/fraud earlier today, but it's still up now to confirm. My gut felt off from the beginning for a number of reasons. I told The Scammer upfront that I wasn't interested romantically (fyi they're targeting the LGBTQ+ at this time). They kept crossing my boundaries and it came across alarming; he whined about not ever being able to find a partner and mentions God often to make you believe they're a honest person. The scammer makes the guy in these photos come off as needy, desperate, and possessive. I blocked him for a few weeks.
ReplyDeleteThen I unblocked him today because in the short time that we did DM on IG the scammer said they were in Syria for the military. Turkey had the recent earthquake and I read that the US was moving some of our troops in Syria toward the earthquake to provide aid. I was curious if he was okay, and also what its like there first hand for one of our troops.
I started to probe a bit more, I have some education in psychology and was curious if he had PTSD or had been abandoned or betrayed in previous relationships. He ends up telling me he's never had sex, and I asked why--the only reason by a dude like him that I'd expect to hear is that they follow the church and came out as LGBTQ later in life, and very quickly after he says "Babe I'm not sure if I will survive with the food they provide for us here in camp because the food is not really good at all I don't know if you could help me with some money like $110 I promise to pay back when my allowance get in I swear babe." ... "I appreciate it a lot if you could try your best for me please" --Just to confirm, I said "I'm poooor" ... "I think you'll survive you're a tough dude" He didn't even read the second message after I said that I was poor.

DeleteMir ist gerade das selbe mit ihm passiert, alles schöne Wörter haben eine Woche echt schön geschrieben, und dann ging es los. Er möchte zu mir nach Hause kommen ob ich ein Notfall Urlaub stellen kann, hatte mir nix bei gedacht weil ich noch nie von solchen Betrüger gehört habe. Habe das Formular beantzbis sie dann meine Bankdaten haben wollen da bin ich stutzig geworden, habe ihm gesagt das kann ich nicht und dann solle ich mir was von Familie und Freunde was leihen, ich würde das wieder bekommen. Hab dann nur geschrieben das ich beim Anwalt war und er das geprüfte hat und dann hat er mich geblockt. Schrecklich das es solche schrecklichen menschen gibt 😢
