He is now Gabe McCaughey, from Seattle Washington stationed in Texas as a special forces and now goes on tinder. I have all the pictures he has been sending me and even given me videos
The picture is being used on words with friends as melvin zornes. I wish we could catch all the scammers.
Oh wow. Thanks for posting this. The pictures are stolen. The real man's name is Phil Zornes. I have been friends with him for years. First off, he was never married. Those kids are not his, they are his sister's. He does not live in virginia. He is not from NYC. Pretty much the only things this guy guessed right are the last name and graduate status.
ReplyDeleteEdit: Phil said he is going to contact Facebook as well as Police to see what he can do. He is very upset. This guy took his pictures and blocked him so he would not see. He had to use an alt to see the profile.
We try to, and succeed in, removing many from FB and Instagram that uses him. Scammers aren't interested in details. Just pictures to use as bait.
DeleteMany scammers use him.. not just one or two. It's bigger than he thinks. If we can help with getting ones removed that he finds that we have missed.
Dear Emily Mees, I m delighted that he knows he is scammed. My name is Ellen Hoogendorp and he was used on a dating site POF in Ireland. I started chatting with him on the 6th of May. After 3 days we continued on WhatsApp and his profile was taking off POF. I have a phone number in New Jersey, USA. I don't know how to report it and I always wanted him to know that his pics r used for scams. It's now the 5th of July 2021 and I m chatting for 6 weeks now and stopped only 2 days ago. 12+ pictures are send to me. I only got a name of him, actually them the scammers, last week. They told me his real name is Liam Robert Zornes. After checking on the internet I found a Robertzornes15 account on Instagram and no followers so that is fake, a FB account as John Zornes. Also fake. They say he is in Afghanistan now and he wants to go home to his parents in Dublin, Ireland and his only son. He lost his wife and oldest son "Zane" in an accident. So can you please tell him this. I hope you please do as I felt so bad finding out the truth. You can tell him that I fell in love with him by one if his pics they send to me (hahaha lol poor man and poor me). They must have info about his profile because too many things we had in common and he was an aquarius on his profile the same as myself. So they r smart people. I woke up out of my "love dream" when they mentioned money 250 euro for a fiancee form and after asking for an explanation it turned into a "spouse form" he had to pay money for to come home earlier from Afghanistan to his parents, son and me obviously in Ireland. He couldn't access his accounts so asked me to help out with the money. I ignored the money sending business and I was never asked for details etc. and I stopped texting them. So I m smarter than them. I don't know how you can reply to me. I would love to get the scammers. If he needs that phone number for the police over there. I m in Ireland so I don't know where to start. I was never scammed before. Tks and thanks for reading. Ellen Hoogendorp.
DeleteNow using name Thomas Zornes I almost fell for it but got sus after him asking for £350 to buy school clothes for his 2 sons. No fool like an old fool realised just in time
ReplyDeleteThere's no fool when they get nothing ! Anything that means they get nothing is a pat on the back ! BUT.. nobody that contacts you will be real.. so be careful, you believed once and they will all try again.

DeletePLEASE... do not be scammed and help us respect the men used. NOW BLOCK
He also is using the name Mark Zornes on Facebook, and is actively targeting older women. I reported his profile to Facebook today as fake; hope they take it down quickly. His photos seem to have been stolen from Zack Zornes, who also is on Facebook.
ReplyDeleteIm not sure but i think Im being scammed by this man... He goes by Jeffrey Zornes on Instagram. I would really like to know more about this. Please help with any information.
ReplyDeleteI can't find the account so can you give me the username .. but this is Zack Zornes.. and you are not talking to him.
DeleteRemember:
ANYONE that claims to be Military is never real.
They do not do it. Real men do NOT go looking on social media to contact women.
Every time someone says they are military, it is a scammer from
West Africa with love words.
NEVER AGREE TO GO TO HANGOUTS,WHATSAPP OR ANY OTHER CHAT APP.
They WILL ask for cards and/ or cash
NEVER SEND
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Go to our FB or IG page and see more about Military Romance Scams but.. it isn't the real man you are talking to.. you are talking to an African using him
He's on scrabble too! They're using his pics...poor guy
ReplyDeleteCurrently he is going by Owen Zornes on instagram under the handle boss_pathfinder. I feel so bad for this man. Just glad I caught this thred before it got too Serious
ReplyDeleteSo, it's February 2024 and scammers are still using his photo under the name Zack Zornes. Born in Texas but living in Miami. Currently deployed in Germany.
ReplyDeleteHe has an account on TikTok, SnapChat and several on Facebook. I have been in contact with him for 3 days and he is already ready to get married without knowing me.
Be careful ladies!
You are talking to West African Cyber Criminals and several gangs use Zornes. Not the same team.. many use the pictures. Please don't keep going with this, thanks for the information
