I was playing words with friends with this guy. He used the name "Larry Porter" but said his full name was "Norman Larry Porter." Said he adopted a son 10 months ago. Said he was from North Carolina, but is in the Army in Syria. Then after about a week and a half of talking, he messaged about his birthday coming up on May 8th. Then stated that he didn't have money to get cake and beer. Told me that it is $150 for both then asked me if I would give him $50. I said no, then stopped talking to me. He also used an email (Johnmarrow101@yahoo.com).
He is also on Meet Me as Tonio West, 42, California. I'm glad I diden´t fall for his lies.

We start talking on tinder then i asked me my whatsapp number, i gave him, and the story is, he is an american soldier in Afghanistan and he will be deployed to syria and he needs to send a box with is personal belongings .then he wants that i send a email to trak his package( simonfraser0422@yahoo.co.uk ). The number of the scammer is +1 (857)3085676. I wish i could found this page before, he really seemed to good to be true, and it was because he was not real.

Hello from France, After some research on this person, I am glad to have found this page. This guy calls franklin_jeff14 (Franklin P. Jeffeson) on Instagram and his number WhatsApp is +233201819568. He told me that he was trying to get married, that he was 42 years old (haha) a 17 year old child, that he was a widower. He lives in Texas, that he goes home in a few months of his mission in Syria... +233 Ghana indicative number... He is sergeant E6 and airborne captain. Too much information given easily for a stroke for a soldier with a career of 27 years. We have not talked much, I have already experienced this kind of identity theft, a great mistrust mandatory... Thank you for your work! Be careful people !

I was contacted by this guy on Plenty of fish. on August 31, He is going by William Porter. He told me that he is widowed and has a son by the name of Henry that is 9 years old and in military boarding school in Texas. His Mother and Father are no longer living. He stated that he is in Afghanistan doing peacework. He never got to the point of asking for money. we were chatting through WhatsAPP at his request, after chatting for a few weeks I get a random text from cell number 424-286-3676 from him stating that he lost his phone during a night patrol when they were attacked by rebels. I asked him whose phone he was using to text me from, he said his friends cell. I proceeded to ask him how did his friend end up with my number since he lost his phone. he told me that he wrote my name and number in a journal and that's how he was able to text me from his friends phone. I made a comment of how sweet. I asked him to take a photo of him holding the Journal. I have never heard from him. LOL during the time we were talking I had a bad feeling. Women's intuition was kicking in. I am so glad that I came across this site.
He is actively on SURGE (a gay dating app) with the name Rob Porter.

Well.. he is ultra handsome and I just can't think the difference between him and the scammer. Porter is happily settled in a relationship with a child. They are abusing him appallingly and it's such a shame. I think the worst thing is these men can do nothing about it. Scammers just use who they like and what is out there.. it's a disgrace that all social media is going to have to wake up to.. dating sites could do more.. why even let a Porter picture anywhere?? DeleteMaking software to do video calls is easy. It costs them money but it makes them so much more. He will know a lot of information because they talk to a lot of people and learn from every chat. They can also Google. He can't give you a legit army.mil or mail.mil email address that you can use, they can't fabricate that. Only ending in that, firstname.lastname and army.mil or mail.mil. He will say he can't use it. He can. They can anywhere in the world.

He is on the prowl again going by Porter Steven, he sent me a follow request on Instagram under the name #bwpvbhg. He sent me a lot of pictures and even later a video stating that I was being scammed by Nigerian scammers. After I confronted him he blocked me on Instagram and I reported his account. I will try to upload the images and videos that he sent me as well as screenshot of his Instagram account and WhatsApp profile with number.

DeleteI was contacted by this guy on Plenty of fish. on August 31, He is going by William Porter. He told me that he is widowed and has a son by the name of Henry that is 9 years old and in military boarding school in Texas. His Mother and Father are no longer living. He stated that he is in Afghanistan doing peacework. He never got to the point of asking for money. we were chatting through WhatsAPP at his request, after chatting for a few weeks I get a random text from cell number 424-286-3676 from him stating that he lost his phone during a night patrol when they were attacked by rebels. I asked him whose phone he was using to text me from, he said his friends cell. I proceeded to ask him how did his friend end up with my number since he lost his phone. he told me that he wrote my name and number in a journal and that's how he was able to text me from his friends phone. I made a comment of how sweet. I asked him to take a photo of him holding the Journal. I have never heard from him. LOL during the time we were talking I had a bad feeling. Women's intuition was kicking in. I am so glad that I came across this site.

I downloaded a text app with a burner number & spoke to him through there. We spoke back & forth over two evenings. On the second night he told me it was his sons birthday this weekend & asked if I was going to send his kid a present??? WTF??? So I said, " You do realize that we just met yesterday & you are already asking me to send you money?" 😂 He flipped out on me! Haha😂 I told him he was freaking me out & he told me that "I should understand him!" He literally told me that his 4 year old son wanted an Xbox game, but that I should send him the money & he'll take him shopping!!! He told me he was on base in Dallas, Texas, but forgot that he told me his son was with his sister in Ohio!!! This morning when he tried to text me, I told him that he was a complete fake & to NEVER text me again! I deleted the text app & blocked him on twitter & reported him. I also found an account on Facebook & reported him there too! He's using the name Porter Jackson. I think it sucks that the REAL Josh Porter is such a douchebag to say it's "The women's fault....". Hello from France, After some research on this person, I am glad to have found this page. This guy calls franklin_jeff14 (Franklin P. Jeffeson) on Instagram and his number WhatsApp is +233201819568. He told me that he was trying to get married, that he was 42 years old (haha) a 17 year old child, that he was a widower. He lives in Texas, that he goes home in a few months of his mission in Syria... +233 Ghana indicative number... He is sergeant E6 and airborne captain. Too much information given easily for a stroke for a soldier with a career of 27 years. We have not talked much, I have already experienced this kind of identity theft, a great mistrust mandatory... He also explained to me how the whole thing works. I basically had him in a corner. But instead of running and blocking me. He told mea few things

There are different scams that they run. And if you bust your scammer out. And he claims to have undying love for you. Don't believe it. Yes they do fall in love with their victim's at times. But they tell them ahead of time to be careful not to. But if you just happen to bust your scammer. There's another scam. That they try. Don't continue to communicate. Because they have people that help them get what they want. Because they will go as far as to try and get a visa. Marry you. And take everything you have. This has been an interesting situation. Because I was determined to get to the truth. And it may not be. But I did find out things that I didn't know before.
He is telling you the same stories they tell everyone.

'Blessings' (their word for the money sent from the client) can go through different scams. Please don't believe the moan about them getting only a small percentage. They often don't get it all... their moan about a small percentage isn't true.
No .. they NEVER fall in love with their victims.. at no time ever. This is just another of their scams.
Scamming will only stop when they get nobody to talk to them.

ReplyDeleteHere’s another to add...Dennis Porter. First contacted me on Tinder then asked to talk more on hangouts. Took him 3 different accounts to figure it out. Wfdennis013@gmail.com, Ana Amenderaz, and then his own. Said he was “using a friends account.” Said he was in the military currently in Cyprus but from my town. He was widowed with a son “Jason” and lost his wife to cancer (low blow since I lost someone close to me from cancer). Not even a week later he was talking about having children. He just seemed off from the start. The way he spoke and acted was weird. We talked for a while, exchanged a few pictures. I was talking to a friend about him who has family in the military in my town and she asked about him and they NEVER heard of him. That’s when I did some more searching and found this site. That’s when I blocked him from everything, I reported him on Tinder. That didn’t stop him...he tried contacting me again as Dennis on Tinder...I reported him again. Then he popped up again under a different first name but yet still used the same pictures. (Intelligent I know) Today he tried adding me on Facebook as a friend! UGH

DeleteI was playing words with friends with this guy. He used the name "Larry Porter" but said his full name was "Norman Larry Porter." Said he adopted a son 10 months ago. Said he was from North Carolina, but is in the Army in Syria. Then after about a week and a half of talking, he messaged about his birthday coming up on May 8th. Then stated that he didn't have money to get cake and beer. Told me that it is $150 for both then asked me if I would give him $50. I said no, then stopped talking to me. He also used an email (Johnmarrow101@yahoo.com).

On my Instagram I got followed by markporter7422 earlier this month. He's been liking some of my pictures and went even as far as following my parents and some of my followers on Instagram. He sent me some messages but I never replied. I thought it was weird his profile had no pictures posted so I did a reverse Google image search and saw this post.

I’ve been in contact with him for over a month. He messaged me on tinder and we’ve exchanged texts, emails, messages multiple times a day. He’s supposedly a paratrooper in the Army but 2 days after we started talking he got deployed to Nigeria. He’s supposed to be coming home the 15th. He’s sworn I’m his soulmate, he wants to have children with me, and to start looking for houses so that when he gets home we can go look at some and buy one near a good elementary school. He asked me for an iTunes gift card which I stupidly sent. Then he asked for $250 for his birthday which I said no to. He keeps telling me he’s in love with me and he’ll see me on the 15th. Is there no limit to this guy’s cruelty? The name he was using was Toby Miguel Porter.

He is on the app Growlr at the moment and started speaking to me yesterday saying his name was Joshua Tucker and says he is in the army right now and stationed in Kabul and that I caught his eye, I am 23 and class myself as attractive I guess haha but the way he spoke and gave full details was a bit suspcious so today I did a reverse search image on google and ended up here so was kinda gutting to know he was using someone elses pictures. Yeah, I literally was just messaged by this guy. I've had a dozen or so guys message me saying they're stationed in Kabul with the US military, and looking for someone to settle down with once they come home.

A guy from IG started liking my photos and sending me direct message, one liner. I got curious with the good looks and started chatting though I have a feeling it's a scam. I declined hundreds of invite in the past but I tried this one for fun. After few days of chatting, lol, he said he's in love with me. Then I googled Porter and saw all about scam on Josh Porter. The guy never asked for money but instead has been so nice where his English is almost perfect. I blocked everything and stop this curiosity haha.. BTW, Josh Porter is a very beautiful man, these scammers can't resist using him.. so people, be careful and smart..

This guy is on plenty of fish, going by the name Alex Porter. After doing some research he also has a facebook page using the name Alex Porter. He also tried to get me to send him itunes cards. Be very careful!

First of all, Awesome site!! Thank u for taking d time out to look out for others. I am currently being "courted" by this picture, by a man going by d name Miguel Richards. Met him on Words with Friends also... D thing that has me baffled about d whole thing is that he offered to send me money, he has never asked me to send him money. There is no way to trace any info for me, n even if he could, he wouldn't get shyt😂 I'm broke as a joke. He told me he would send me money if I opened a fresh new bank account... Which I was like, ok cool, if I don't have anything in d bank, he can't rob my account. Then when I didn't open d account (telling him I lost my ID) he told me to get an online account, which he provided a link to HSBC, Curiously I went to it, n was not able to access d link that would allow me to start an online account. I told him this n he then suggested I get a Costco card for $60. I asked him y couldn't he just send it to my active PayPal account or Cash App. That's when he told me he can't access his account n that a "colleague" of his was gonna help him out. I lterraly just sent him a message saying we have no Costco near us n Im waiting for a reply. My Woman's intuition kicked in when I questioned him about his ethnicity because d way he types makes him sound foreign. He smoothly played it off, but hey... Im no dummy... So I've been going back n forth with him for about a week now. I'm never gonna send him money or information... However, if he thinks he's fucking with my mind, I'm gonna fuck with his😂😂😂.. Shyt, I b bored, I met him on a games site n now he's become d game.

ReplyDeleteNext... the giving you money bit. They ask you to open an online bank account. Then they will get someone to pay you the money being scammed from them. You think he is being nice. Sending you some cash !! NO... they are giving your name to victims as being the receiver of the money for them. They will say you are an 'Agent for the Army' or 'the Nanny' or some excuse. They will get money paid to you and then because he will get the log in details from you, move it out to them....Money Laundering. In your name and nobody elses. So when you are reported as the receiver of money that has been scammed YOUR name is on the Bank account..and YOU will be the one interviewed by Fraud Investigators !! NOBODY you don't know offers to give you money.
OF course ALL soldiers can access their accounts at ALL times. It is a popular scammers story that I do not know why it is ever believed.

I was contacted by this same person on instagram going by Mr. P, says it is backup account , us army, airborn, paratrooper. Was chatting with me on instagram but then wanted me to donwload hangouts to chat, has been chatting but hasn't mentioned money yet. Says he is in Afghanistan right now. It looks to good to be true. The name he uses on hangouts is Porter Carl, even sent a picture of him and his daughter, says she is 7 years old and he lost his wife to cancer 3 years ago. I would not ever send anyone money but he hasn't asked for it yet. Another name to go by, any thoughts on this

Says he lost his wife to cancer 3 years ago, doesn't get on instagram much last post is november 2018. Has a 7 year old daughter. Says he is in Afghanistan right now, stationed in California at the Airforce Station, which is red flag, US army does not get stationed at the air force based even if you are a paratrooper. He wanted me to download hangouts so he could talk more. His name on Hangouts is Porter Carl. He has been messaging me and hasn't asked for any money. He says when he gets back he would like to come see me. I am unsure what to do?

He speaks great English. He very romantic. He has a terrible temper. Ladies this man is a expert manipulator. He knows a lot about the military. He will immediately start to call you his wife, his love, his . He very endearing. He hunting a mother for his child. Please don’t believe a word this man says... caz he very good.

He is from Germany and they moved to Texas when he was a teenager. They died in a car accident 2 years later and sibling died. Raised by his grandmother. Has a dog named Freddy. Says he is in love and is very romantic. Has not mentioned money but wants us to be together when he comes back to the US. When I found out this week that he is a scammer, I have started to mess with him a little. Take up his time lol

ReplyDeleteA guy called Brian Porter contacted me on instragram (brpot) time ago. Today he asked me to talk over whatsApp. He told me the same story: That he was in kabul in a mission and that he's looking for a girl to spend his life with. He also asked me about how much money I made so got suspicious and I decided to look it up for info on the net. Fortunately I found this page and I already reported and blocked him on both Instagram and whatsApp. Be careful girls!

ReplyDeleteNEVER GO TO HANGOUTS.. it is the place where scammers gather their victims when they have hunted them in other places. If you can, get off Hangouts, you will be just alwys contacted by scammers there. He will use honey, baby.. and more so they don't need remember your name.. so much easier to scam more at once.

I can guarantee he will know. The Army monitor these things and they all do know. I believe he is on Youtube and Instagram and so he will know. They can do nothing about this, scammers don't care who they use or who they rob.
